surveillance

He said I think about you all the time,
it’s almost obsessive

Do you mind if I look at you

I don’t know what you are
or where you come from
but I think you are beautiful

When I went
to the City of Tampa Mayor’s office
there was a garden with two statues:
one of a standing female Buddha
and one of her partner
staring at her

Everything that has an eye
has a universe inside
and it’s endless

Kerry James Marshall
the visual artist
said about his art project
Illusions of Eden:
it’s about the home,
reality television,
and how we are obsessed
with penetrating the walls
